I first met little Ava when she was tucked snug inside her beautiful mother’s beautiful bump. She was a little girl that was prayer for and loved well before she ever came to earth and I loved getting to hear the beautiful story of infertility and the miracles that brought this gorgeous, healthy girl to her sweet family.
The second time I met Ava, she was just 10 days old and just as sweet as I knew she’d be. It was such joy getting to photograph this precious baby girl and her parents who already loved her so deeply. And it was such an honor to be a part of their story.
Meet Ava.
“We underwent invitro for our sweet Ava Jewel in Dallas, Tx. On the way home from our appointment where they confirmed our pregnancy, we discussed baby names. We decided if we had a girl, she would be Ava Jewel Brooks. We just liked the name Avaand Jewel was my grandmothers name. We never could decide on a boy name… thank goodness we had a girl.”
“I loved being pregnant. She was such a blessing that we were uncertain we would ever have. I loved feeling her kick and move around.
“I was most excited to hold her. To actually touch her. It almost didn’t seem real until that point.”
“That moment [when we first saw her] was completely surreal. I couldn’t believe that after all the time, effort and emotions… she was here. ”
