As a mother of three babies of my own (not just because of the whole photographer thing) I think every family should have a birth photographer in the hospital room when a new life is brought into this world. It is the absolute biggest day of your lives (each and every time it happens) and the last thing a mom or her laboring partner needs to worry about is grabbing the camera.

And I think its just as important to have those photos of baby’s older siblings coming to meet her for the first time. The expressions on their little faces, the way they all instantly look so much older holding their brand new baby. They are moments we try to capture in our minds and say we’ll never forget the way it all happened, but isn’t it so much better to have the photographs to tell the story along with the memory?

I came to the hospital to meet baby Suzette and photograph her for her fresh 48 and I was just in time for her big brother and sisters to come meet her too. Welcome baby Suzette.
