Annika arrived a few days before Christmas. The night before she was born, her mom and dad were entertaining family and in the middle of games mom’s water broke. Rather than mentioning it to anyone, she went on like nothing happened until they left. As they said goodbye and closed the door for their guests, she turned around to her husband, with a shocked look on her face, and said that they needed to go to the hospital. Like, NOW. (I’m honestly just so impressed that she takes her hosting so seriously!) Their dinner guests didn’t even find out about her water breaking until after their little girl was born that next morning, and they all got a pretty good laugh out of it!
I met Annika when she was a little more than a day old for her Fresh 48 Hospital session in Siloam Springs. She loved her mama and loved being held. In just a day, mom had already figured out that Annika’s favorite thing to do was to have her little booty wiggled. She would calm almost instantly, as soon as she felt that movement.
My favorite part of our time together was definitely photographing the three of them together while they sat on the bed. Annika locked her eyes on the camera and kept finding it, no matter what angle I shot at. It was like her little personality was already showing through. Just take a look at the photos and see for yourself!
Welcome to the world, sweet Annika. You are already so loved!
