Millie was born on a peaceful, rainy night in January. I was so blessed to be able to be there with her beautiful family on that night and photograph the amazing miracle as she made her way earthside. (I will never cease to be humbled by the unique opportunity that I have in photographing these beautiful birth stories).
After her delivery, and after about an hour of skin-to-skin and monitoring in that little hospital room, her nurses decided she needed to spend some time in the NICU. It was there they discovered that she was born with a collapsed lung.
It only took a few days before this little munchkin’s lungs were healthy enough for her to make her way home. Before they left the hospital though, I met them back in their little hospital room as they finished this part of their journey.
So glad to see you make your way home, sweet Millie.
