I remember my first pregnancy like it was yesterday. Being completely overwhelmed and nervous and over the moon excited all at the same time. I remember the flutters in my tummy when I first felt her move inside me, and then the sharp pokes of her little feet as she grew bigger. I remember feeling as though my heart would explode just thinking about how much I loved this tiny person who I hadn’t even met yet. I remember the waddle and the cravings.
I remember staying up at night (because no one can get comfortable when you’ve got a basketball under your nighty) wondering what she would look like. Would she have my husband’s eyes? What color would her hair be? Would she be healthy? Would I be a good mom? I remember it all, and I remember it so fondly.
Every time I get an email from a soon-to-be first time mom, all of those feelings come back to me and I get so excited for these new friends to experience it all for themselves.
I met Emily and Tim when they came to my studio for their maternity session. Their excitement over their little girl was contagious and their love for that little bump was already so evident. I couldn’t wait to witness them become parents just a couple weeks later during their first 48 hospital session and again when they would come back for their newborn session. This little girl, waiting to be born, is already so blessed to have two of the most beautiful, loving and caring parents.
Here’s just a teeny little smidgen of their maternity session.
