I remember when I was expecting my second child. I was so excited and so scared at the same time. How would I care for two kids? How could I share the love in my heart with two kids. Would my oldest feel left out? Would she think I loved her less? She was my little buddy, we did everything together and I couldn’t help but feel like I was taking something away from her.
The reality was, when I welcomed my second little girl into this world the love in my heart multiplied. I felt as if it might explode from the inexplicable joy. My oldest daughter gained a new best friend, she was just as infatuated with her new little sister as we were. Five years later they are still the best of friends and their relationship is just beyond words. I am thankful for that tiny little 7 lb baby sister every single day.
Expecting a new little one is such an amazing time in a mother’s life. Melanie is expecting her second child, a little girl this time. Before little sister arrives in just 8 short weeks we got together to photograph her beautiful bump and her sweet little buddy (and soon to be big brother), Asher. They were both simply perfection.
